The National Data Opt Out

The National Data Opt out is a piece of legislation designed to allow individuals to 'opt out' of having their data used for research purposes

By default most social care organisations  are compliant unless you are participating in any research projects (particularly if run by a university or drugs company) in which case if you are collecting data from residents you must give them the option to opt out of you using that data.

Day to day data you collect to provide care is not covered by the opt out or anything you need to collect for local authroities, the health service or the capacity tracker

You would normally need to insert some words to say how you are complying within your Data Privacy policy.

Suggested wording can be found on the digital social care website
