Making Sure your DBS Searches are Legal

A DBS is a legal requirement for everyone working in care


What is not so well known in the sector are the legal requirements surrounding DBS,  the level of search required and also the legal obligations surrounding those asking for a search.  Most care providers are unaware that it is illegal to request a Barring List check for some categories of staff working in care setting.
