Course Aim
To increase delegates’ awareness of substance misuse and develop their confidence in recognising concerns, understanding risk and responding appropriately within health and social care settings.

- Links between substance misuse, vulnerability, mental health, safeguarding and risk.
- How substance misuse may impact care, support, relationships and decision-making.
- Professional boundaries when supporting individuals affected by substance misuse.
- When and how to escalate concerns appropriately.
- How to respond with empathy, professionalism and respect.
