ASC WDS
The Adult Social Care Workforce Data Set (ASC-WDS) is a free online data collection service that covers the adult social care workforce in England.
Join the 20,000 care providers already using the free ASC-WDS service.
The service helps care providers to;
- Run their business
- Manage their staff data and training needs
- Produces reports, and a training matrix with reminders when training renewals are due
- Shares data with CQC or Local Authority (optional)
- Claim funding for training via the Learning and Development Support Service (LDSS) - See below
- Benchmark your organisation against other local providers (all data is anonymised)
The data collected is vital to the Government, the Department of Health and Social Care, local authorities and the Care Quality Commission as it allows them to plan, fund and monitor the sector.
Learning Development Support Scheme (LDSS)
Eligible adult social care employers in England can claim staff training costs from the Adult Social Care Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS).
The LDSS is available for non-regulated care staff, including deputy and Care Quality Commission-registered managers and agency staff, within the adult social care workforce. Staff taking the training must be in qualifying roles. You must show evidence of the spend on training.
There is guidance available on the Government website
This guidance covers:
