🌟 WSAB Annual Safeguarding Awards 2026

Nominations Now Open

Worcestershire Safeguarding Adults Board (WSAB) is once again shining a light on the individuals, teams and organisations who work tirelessly to keep adults with care and support needs — along with their families and carers — safe, supported and well.

This year’s awards celebrate outstanding safeguarding practice across health, social care and the wider community. WSAB is particularly keen to recognise those people outside traditional care roles who notice when something isn’t right and take action — reflecting the principle that Safeguarding is Everybody’s Business .

🏆 Award Categories

Best Safeguarding Practice – Practitioner — Recognising a practitioner who has gone above and beyond to support an adult at risk of abuse or self‑neglect.

Best Safeguarding Practice – Team / Multi‑agency Work — Celebrating a team, organisation or multi‑agency group demonstrating exceptional partnership working to reduce safeguarding risks.

Safeguarding is Everybody’s Business Award — For any employee of any partner agency (not limited to health or social care) who noticed something was “not right” and took action as part of their everyday role.

Safeguarding Champion — Recognising an individual who has shown dedicated and ongoing commitment to promoting safeguarding.

🎉 Awards Ceremony

All awards will be presented at the Safeguarding Recognition Awards 2026 event on: Wednesday 18th November 2026

This special event brings together partners from across Worcestershire to celebrate exceptional safeguarding practice and highlight the impact individuals and teams make every day.

As part of the national Better Security Better Care programme, we are offering FREE in-person Digital Healthcheck visits to review your data protection and cyber security policies. We believe that having a Digital Healthcheck could provide several important benefits for care providers.
