Care Home Staff Flu Vaccination Pilot Scheme - Norfolk & Waveney ICB

Community pharmacies in the Norfolk and Waveney ICB area are piloting a care home staff flu vaccination initiative, during the 2024/2025 Flu season for care homes providing care for older residents (including dementia care).

Care Homes reporting below 40% staff flu vaccination rates for the 2023/2024 flu season to the DHSC Capacity Tracker are eligible to receive free, in-care home, staff flu vaccination clinics. All staff working in the care home are eligible for a free flu vaccination through this initiative. Eligible care homes will also receive this message when logging into the DHSC Capacity Tracker.

There is an incentive payment of £850 for your care home if more than 70% of your staff receive the flu vaccination. (Eligibility for the £850 incentive payment will be confirmed by capacity tracker data following submission of the final flu vaccination data submission in April 2025. Incentive payments will then be facilitated by the Care Provider Alliance (CPA)).

If you have any questions about the Staff Flu Vaccination initiative, or the clinics being arranged, please contact your local Community Pharmacist. In the event your local pharmacist is not participating in this initiative, please contact other local pharmacists in your ICB area.
