In its interim advice to the Government on the COVID-19 vaccination programme for 2023, the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) has advised those at higher risk of severe infection should be offered booster vaccinations this autumn.
The JCVI also advised extra booster doses in the spring, for a smaller group of people at higher risk, including those who are older and/or immuno-suppressed. Further details of the spring 2023 programme will be provided shortly.
Care colleagues needing advice and reassurance about vaccinations can still use a suite of useful – and free – resources from the Campaign Resource Centre.
