Care Provider Alliance:

The Use of VAT Grouping within the Care Industry

13 June 2025

10.00am - 11.00am

Virtual

Care Providers are invited to attend a Care Provider Alliance (CPA) hosted webinar on Friday 13th June 2025 from 10-11am which will be led by Grant Thornton and Anthony Collins Solicitors. The Webinar will also be attended by HMRC and the DHSC.

The webinar will provide both an overview of the June 2025 CPA briefing paper by Grant Thornton and Anthony Collins (the briefing) and provide an opportunity for Care Providers to ask any questions they may have.

The purpose of this webinar is to ensure a single and consistent message is communicated and understood across the sector. The same webinar will also be provided to Local Authorities and ICB commissioners on the same day.

Given the short notice, the webinar will be recorded and shared to those who register for the webinar but could not attend on the day. We do however encourage all to try and attend on the day to ensure the event is as interactive as possible.

The webinar will offer the opportunity to ask questions anonymously both in advance upon registration, and during the event. Attendees will also be able to raise their hands to ask the panel a question directly.

HMRC and DHSC are attending but will not be involved in the presentation and have reviewed the briefing. They will only answer questions if appropriate at the time at the host’s request. We have invited HMRC and the DHSC in the spirit of openness to ensure a clear and consistent message is understood by all parties.

Out of respect for all attendees and given time constraints, we ask that any questions posed are clear and succinct, polite and courteous.

We reserve the right to mute or remove any individual who does not respect these polite requests to ensure as many as possible can pose their questions.

We will note down any unanswered questions and circle back after the event with a Q&A document if necessary. If a further webinar is required, this will be arranged.

We look forward to seeing you on the call.

The Care Provider Alliance, Grant Thornton and Anthony Collins Solicitors.

Information collected on the attendees will only be used for VAT briefing purposes and follow up from this event. This will not be added to any marketing database.

The Care Provider Alliance (CPA) brings together the 10 main national associations (including the CAA of which WMCA is a member) which represent independent and voluntary adult social care providers in England.

We work to represent the sector and ensure a coordinated response to the major issues that affect it. Together our members provide care and support to 1.2 million people through residential, home-based and community services, whether commissioned by local authorities and the NHS or privately purchased. Together our members employ over 620,000 care workers.
