Delivered in partnership with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), this webinar provides an opportunity to use the commencement of the Code to ensure guidance and information is updated and that registered care providers understand how the CQC is planning to regulate in relation to this requirement in an effective and consistent way.
On 6 September 2025, the Oliver McGowan Code of Practice will commence, barring any objections whilst laid in parliament.
The laying of the code in June has prompted a flurry of queries from providers and stakeholders requesting updated guidance and information on the approach to the regulation, and how CQC will use the Code.
Whilst the regulation was amended in July 2022, and the CQC website updated accordingly, many organisations are still grappling with the complexities of ensuring that their staff are trained in line with the regulation.
Registered care providers, specifically: registered managers, learning and development leads/ training leads, and quality leads.
Following this webinar, the recording and resources will be available online here.
The CQC have very helpfully produced a FAQ specifically for attendees of this webinar, which will be emailed direct to attendees on registration.
