On 22^nd December 2022, DHSC issued an update note on market sustainability and fair costs of care fund’s next steps. You can access this note here - Update from DHSC on FCC Year 1 Next Steps Review and Publication Contained in the note are some key dates:

• Cost of care exercises: DHSC can now confirm that Cost of Care reports need to be published on local authorities’ GOV.UK webpages by 1 February 2023.
• Market Sustainability Plan: these are being reviewed and updated following the delay to charging reform. DHSC are reviewing them between January & February. No date has been confirmed for their publication – we anticipate late March 2023.
