We wanted to let you know that the Statutory Instrument to increase the NHS-funded Nursing Care (FNC) rate for 2023-24 has just been laid in Parliament. The FNC rate will be uplifted by 5% for 2023-24 which means that the rate for standard FNC in 2023-24 will be £219.71 per resident per week. The FNC rate for those on the higher rate will be £302.25 per resident per week.

An operational briefing is being circulated to ICBs to ensure that the new FNC rate for 2023-24 is paid to providers in respect of care provided from 1st April 2023. The link to the Statutory Instrument and Explanatory Memorandum can be found here.
