September is World Alzheimer's Month

The theme for 2024 is 'Time to act on dementia, Time to act on Alzheimer's'. Throughout September, various events, activities, and initiatives will take place mark World Alzheimer's Month. The key aims of this year’s campaign is to raise awareness and challenge stigma surrounding Alzheimer's and dementia.

World Alzheimer's Day will take place on 21st September 2024

World Alzheimer's Day (#WorldAlzheimersDay) is a global opportunity to raise awareness around, educate, encourage support of and demystify dementia.

Globally, dementia is one of the biggest challenges we face, with nearly 50 million people living with dementia worldwide. To tackle this international dementia challenge, we need to work together and share best practice with one another. (Alzheimer's Society).

This is why Alzheimer's Society has committed to work with partners on global research and campaigning, as well as sharing our learning, best practice and experience with one another.
