Stakeholders Engagament Meeting - Thursday 30th March - 10:00am - 11:00am

As VIVALDI Social Care progresses, The Outstanding Society, University College London and Care England were delighted to have a panel discussion with guest speakers Professor Deborah Sturdy, Chief Nurse for Adult Social Care and Professor Ruth Endacott, NIHR Director of Nursing and Midwifery. The panel discussed the importance of research in the sector and how it can improve the lives of people living in care homes, enhance the experience of friends and families visiting their loved ones and improve staff morale leading to better retention and recruitment of staff. The panel also talked about how this in turn could lead to improved ratings from the CQC through innovation, best practice and engagement with all stakeholders involved with the care home. With over 700 care homes already onboarded for this exciting study our next step is to provide a further overview for stakeholders across the sector. Since September 2022 there have been several stakeholders involved in the different workstreams. This is an opportunity for providers, their teams, residents, relatives, ICB’s and your local community to hear about the progress made and ask any questions you may have ahead of the official launch at the Residential and Home Care show in April. If you are a provider and would like to hear more about getting involved in this project, this is a perfect opportunity to hear from other providers, relatives, and professionals across the sector.
