Under their expanded responsibilities, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) are now assessing local authorities on how they deliver their responsibilities under the Care Act.
Birmingham City Council were one of the pilot authorities and CQC have now published the result of the assessment they undertook in the Autumn.
The City Council has been rated as ‘Good: evidence shows a good standard’
