Urgent – Food Standards Agency (FSA) alert

 

A food alert has been issued that specifically affects caring establishments. 

 

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) alert refers to the recall of food from health care settings due to an outbreak of Listeria Monocytogenes.

Please note that the advice is to withdraw products listed as part of food service or sale for:

 

Product details: Cool Delight Desserts products

Product: Ice cream, Ice cream Rolls, Mousses and Yoghurts

Pack size: All

‘Best before’ date: All

Batch codes: All

Risk: The possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes in the above products.


These products must all be withdrawn from service, and placed in quarantine while investigations are ongoing. 

 

Where affected products have been received by a healthcare setting, they need to 

 

  • Confirm that the products have been withdrawn from service.
  • Confirm when they were removed form service. They should be placed on hold, and quarantined while investigations are ongoing.
