Healthy Worcestershire, funded by Worcestershire County Council offers a diverse range of empowering sessions aimed at enhancing overall well-being for the Worcestershire community. The programme is delivered from local venues across the 6 districts in Worcestershire.


It offers tailored lifestyle advice that aims to improve overall health and wellbeing, as well as fostering social connection and improving community safety awareness. There is an emphasis on co-production and adaptability throughout the programme based on local needs.


The programme is open to anyone over the age of 18, living and/or registered with a GP in Worcestershire.


The sessions are 2-3 hours in length broken down in to 3 parts:-


  • Physical activity including; resistance training, balance training, yoga, pilates and tai chi etc;
  • Lifestyle advice group discussion including; budget-friendly and nutritious cooking, heathy habits - smoking/drinking/activity/sleep, mental health and emotional well-being, community safety issues such as doorstep crime, scams, and fraud etc;
  • Social connection opportunity including refreshments, interaction and fun activities such as bingo, arts & crafts, gardening, knitting, singing.


This new Healthy Worcestershire service will launch on Monday 24th June at The Hub, Blackwell Community Hall B60 1BL. Sessions will run weekly from 2-4pm. Find out more here.
