WMCA Feedback on Visit to UK Care Week

On Thursday 21 ^st March, our Operations Officer, Jamie Bloomfield, attended the UK Care Week Show , at the NEC Birmingham, on behalf of our members, to network with essential contacts and learn from fantastic speakers in the sector.

His visit involved listening to speakers and hearing presentations about:-

• Keynote Speaker - Helen Whately, Minister for Social Care - Current & Future Plans

Fire Safety Regulations - know your roles and responsibilities

From 1 October last year, changes to the Fire Safety Order 2005 tweaked the role of the Responsible Person (RP) for workplaces. All workplaces need an up-to-date fire risk assessment, and your RP needs to be clear on their updated responsibilities.
