The next Dementia Network Meeting will take place virtually on Friday 28th July 2023 from 1-2pm.

Alex Bayliss of AEB Social Care Limited will be running a session on "Making the Mental Capacity Act work in practice - a briefing for care providers".

Alex started his career as a care worker in residential care and having worked in several care settings Alex undertook his Social Work training and qualified in 2004. Since qualifying Alex has worked across all adult care groups as well as in child protection services. Recently Alex has specialised in Adult Safeguarding, Mental Capacity and DOLS work culminating in leading safeguarding services in two local authorities. Whilst undertaking a number of strategic roles Alex has always maintained his front-line practice as a Best Interest Assessor (BIA). Alex now works as an independent social care consultant and independent BIA and is a retained trainer and consultant for a number of adult social care providers.
