Major changes for social care announced by the Government

Well, it's certainly been an interesting week in politics with the new Labour Government making some big announcements affecting the social care sector.   In particular:-

• On the 26th July, the Government & the DHSC issued the  Dash review . The  review  highlighted CQC failings in it's operational effectiveness. Kate Teroni, CQC's interim CEO has also issued her response on behalf of CQC.

• Chancellor, Rachel Reeves, is scrapping the Adult Social Care Charging Reforms.

• Stephen Kinnock, Minister of State for Care, announced that the new Adult Social Care Training & Development Fund will be cancelled.

This is a fantastic opportunity to network and make new contacts, while learning about useful resources available from our exhibitors to support the running of your business.
