Rugby care home reduced energy costs by over £11k following WBEAS audit and grant

Rugby Care Centre, a family‑owned dementia and residential home, has undergone major energy‑efficiency improvements after receiving a £44k grant through the Warwickshire Business Energy Advice Service (WBEAS), match‑funded by the business.

Following a free energy audit, the home installed a new boiler, double‑glazed windows and doors, and LED lighting — delivering annual savings of £11,286 and cutting 25 tonnes of CO₂. Further recommended actions could save an additional £3,571 and 6.29 tonnes of CO₂.

Residents have already noticed a warmer, brighter environment, and local suppliers helped minimise disruption during the upgrades. Growth Hub advisers are encouraging other businesses to apply soon, as the WBEAS programme ends in March.
