Preparing for a Cyber Incident: Tools and Tips for the Care Sector

23 March 2026

12.00pm  - 1.00pm

Cyber incidents can be worrying and disruptive for any care service - but being prepared makes all the difference. Join us for part 3 of our CRC Network Care Cyber Series, delivered in partnership with Care Providers Alliance and Care England.

This webinar will show care providers practical ways to assess your current cyber resilience, prepare your team, and plan what to do if an incident occurs. Using free tools such as the National Cyber Security Centre's (NCSC) My Cyber Action Toolkit, Police Cyber Alarm, Cyber PATH, you’ll learn how to identify gaps, test your response, and take clear next steps.

No technical expertise is required - the session is designed to be accessible, practical, and relevant for everyone in the care sector.

What this session will cover

  • Understanding cyber risks in the current care landscape, including pressures on staff and vulnerable clients
  • Assessing your organisation’s resilience with the NCSC My Cyber Action Toolkit
  • Building or improving your incident response plan and including cyber in business continuity planning
  • Practical steps to use Cyber PATH services to strengthen your policies, training, and systems

Who should attend

Care home owners, registered managers, governance leads, operations managers, mobile carers, and anyone responsible for safeguarding, compliance, or cyber preparedness in residential and domiciliary care.
