LDSS Webinar Recording

On 28th November 2024, the DHSC held a national webinar to share information on the Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS) – a new fund intended to support the care workforce to complete courses and qualifications. The event was well-attended by representatives from across the adult social care sector, which is testament to the level of interest and support for learning and development opportunities.

The agenda included:

  • An update on wider adult social care workforce policy by Gareth Young, Deputy Director for Adult Social Care Workforce at the Department of Health and Social Care
  • Information on how employers can access the funding – including eligibility criteria, the claims process, and what the fund can be used for.
  • A demonstration of the new digital claims service, by DHSC delivery partners NHS Business Services Authority.
  • A Q&A session with the LDSS team to address common queries

If you missed the webinar or would like to rewatch, a full recording is available for free on the Skills for Care website: Changes to learning and development funding for adult social care.
