Section 114s and Birmingham City Council 

Many of you will now have seen the news of Birmingham City Council declaring itself ‘effectively bankrupt ’ .  We will continue to monitor developments in Birmingham and how it could impact providers in the area, and we would appreciate any insights and knowledge from members in the area, or indeed other LAs at risk. 

This is unlikely to be the last Local Authority to issue a Section 114 in the coming months.
