Training Matrix:

How Much Time Do You Lose Managing Staff Training?

Staying on top of the training needs of your staff is quite simply, hard. It’s a real challenge.

In fact, it can be utterly overwhelming when you consider all the mandatory training your different staff teams require as well as the additional specific training your clinical staff need to meet the needs of your clients.

Then there is the compliance angle. Every organisation must ensure that staff receive and maintain mandatory training to keep residents safe and services compliant.

Of course, you want your staff to be well trained, but you also need to be able to show CQC and LAs when they inspect that your carers (and nurses) are qualified to be delivering care.

It’s easy to lose track of who’s due training and when, especially when training received can be valid for one, two or three years.

To check just one person’s status - what training they’ve completed, what’s overdue, and what training they are already booked onto – can take a long time of digging through their files.

You also need to plan how many training sessions to run to cover all due or overdue that training.

This all adds up to hours of time and cost every month, unnecessary stress, and a constant risk of missed renewals.

Not anymore…

Introducing the Training Matrix — The Smarter Way to Stay Compliant

Our new Training Matrix is built specifically for care providers who want a stress-free, time-saving way to manage staff training.

With the Training Matrix, you can:

See compliance instantly - From overall company compliance for a particular training course, to departmental compliance, to individual compliance, see where the training gaps are and where to focus your training effort.

Personalisation - Customise your training setup to match your service’s needs. Define training requirements for your different teams based on client needs and service type.

Manage who needs what training when – see when each person last received training and hence when that training is due. Having booked them on they will disappear from showing you who is due training, so you don’t have to keep double checking that they are booked on. If a person doesn’t need a particular training course, make them N/A so they aren’t included in and pull down your compliance stats for that training.

Plan sessions easily – The tool will automatically calculate how many training sessions need to be arranged to get all due and overdue staff compliant for an individual course.

Individual staff records - View complete records of each employee’s training history instantly - no paperwork or file searching required.

And it eliminates the stress of hoping your teams are compliant and able to deliver the service your clients need.

The Training Matrix goes live on 10th November.

Register your interest before then and if you do decide to try it out when launched you will receive:

The Government is seeking views on reforms to zero hours and similar contracts to implement measures in the Employment Rights Act 2025 to end one-sided flexibility. The consultation is your opportunity to share feedback on how the reforms, including the right to guaranteed hours, reasonable notice, and short notice payments, should be implemented and ensure that the views of the adult social care sector are represented. The consultation closes on Tuesday 25 August at 23:59. You can read the impact assessments on the reforms to inform your response : Impact assessment: Right to Guaranteed Hours and Impact assessment: ZHC - Right to Reasonable Notice of Shift Patterns and Payment for Shifts Cancelled, Moved or Curtailed at Short Notice
