WMCA Summer Conference - another successful event!

Last Thursday, 19th June, we hosted our last Registered Managers, Deputies and Seniors CPD Conference of the first series at the Bescot Stadium in Walsall.

This time we focused on the CQC Quality Statement ‘Is your Care Service Responsive ? ’

It was an educational and informative day, with approximately 70 care providers attending!

A huge thank you to all the speakers and exhibitors who supported us with this event.

We are now busy planning our WMCA Autumn Providers Conference: Taking your social care business forward in an uncertain world which will be held at The Portway Lifestyle Centre on Thursday 2nd October.

Winner of Pimp my Zimmer Competition 2025

Huge congratulations to Woodlands Quaker Home in Wolverhampton who are the very worthy winners of our ever popular Pimp my Zimmer Competition for the second consecutive year.

They had a theme of "Race Across the World" and we were particularly impressed at how they clearly engaged with their residents in designing the zimmer frames.

We were also delighted to welcome them to our Conference last week with one of their residents who very proudly displayed her zimmer frame.

They will shortly receive their prize of a luxury hamper.

Congratulations again to Woodlands!
