This event is open to all CQC registered providers

Focus on Workforce is a practical webinar for care providers, workforce leads, care associations and registered managers, delivered by the Care Association Alliance (CAA) in conjunction with Skills for Care and IPSOS.

The session will explore the workforce issues currently affecting adult social care, with a focus on the Skills for Care Workforce Wellbeing Survey, available training, development and funding opportunities, and ways to support young people into care careers.

It will provide useful insight, share current opportunities and create space for discussion about what providers need now, and what future workforce support should look like. The webinar is designed to help organisations stay informed, connect with others across the sector and contribute to building a stronger, more supported and sustainable care workforce.

Who are the Care Association Alliance

The CAA was founded in 2010 by a group of local care associations - including WMCA -  as a vehicle for them to share best practice and establish common positions on national issues.

Since then the CAA has grown to include over 50 local care associations, each supporting care providers within specific local authority areas. Like WMCA, these associations represent a diverse range of services, including:

  •     Residential and nursing homes
  •     Domiciliary care
  •     Supported living
  •     Learning disability services

By uniting these associations, the CAA ensures that the perspectives and needs of local providers are effectively communicated to national decision-makers.

The CAA has no paid officers, all its functions and activities are carried out by it’s member care associations.
