I don’t do Digital; do I still need to complete the Data Security and Protection Toolkit?

The short answer is yes. Data is not just held in digital format it relates to paper records also. How to store and destroy your paper records correctly, what to do if paper care plans are lost or stolen during transit etc., what back up plans do you have if supplier or service user contact information is mislaid etc.

Also, if you and your staff use smartphones out in the field, the data held on these devices needs to be protected also.
