Exchanging your driving license for a UK one

Generally speaking you can drive on a licence issued overseas for up to 12 months, after which time you will need to exchange it for a UK issued one.

Depending on which country the original license was issued in will determine whether you can just swap your license or you will need to take a UK driving test
