Regulation 9a

Following on from our 21st April Newsletter titled ' Escorting Residents and Service Users to Hospital -  Updated Guidance ' where s everal challenges were highlighted, including:

• Insurance limitations, where providers may not be covered for staff to escort individuals to hospital.

• Staffing pressures, as releasing a team member can leave services short‑staffed and potentially unsafe

Due to the recent interest in this subject HCR will also touch on this subject in the Mezzanine area at the Care Roadshow and will be available for questions (see details below).
