Woodlands Quaker Home - Wolverhampton


Zimmer Frames are a part of life for many older people but sometimes - particularly if they have dementia - they don't like using them as they cannot associate with them.


Research has shown that you can encourage your residents and service users to use their Zimmer Frame by decorating them with items or a theme that means something to them.


We've beenrunning the competition for many years now and each year we are astounded by the creativity from our members and their residents


This years competition was won by Woodlands Quaker Home in Wolverhampton (for the second time) with a Race Around the World Theme of over a dozen decorated Zimmer Frames.

New Range of Dementia Resources for Care Staff and Families Skills for Care have launched a new range of dementia resources to enhance care and support for people living with dementia and their carers. These resources have been developed to support the adult social care workforce including home care workers, care home staff, community teams and family carers.
