Calling All Activity Co‑ordinators – Pimp My Zimmer Is Back!

Get your craft boxes ready — our much‑loved Pimp My Zimmer competition is officially open for entries from tomorrow (17th April), and we’re inviting all WMCA Members to get involved.

This isn’t just a fun creative challenge. Research shows that when residents and service users decorate their zimmer frames with themes, colours or items that hold personal meaning, they’re more likely to use them confidently. This can be especially powerful for people living with dementia, where familiar cues can spark recognition, comfort and engagement.

Whether your residents love gardening, football, music, animals or a favourite decade, this is the perfect opportunity to turn their mobility aid into something joyful, personal and proudly theirs.
